Is it normal that i don't even care...

My father got a call from one of his sisters over on the east coast and it turns out that my grandfather has been admitted to the hospital again (he's been in bad health for two years) and they're not even sure he'll make it through the night.

Is it normal that I don't care whether he's dies or not?

It's not like I've been worried so long that I'll be happy when he finally dies, I just never cared in the first place. I haven't even seen him in about 3 years.

Is It Normal?

  • It makes sense if you dont have a particularly lose relationship with him. How could you miss someone you don't love in some way? The other thing is that a lot of people (unlike myself) the loss of that person won't hit them until a bit of time has lapsed. So what you don't feel now you may feel later. Hope things turn out ok.

  • i guess if you were never really that close to him, then it's hard to feel sad or worried about it. What really made me sad when my grandpa died in January was thinking about how my mother must have felt and how i would feel losing one of my parents (in addition to missing him).
