Is it normal that i don't consider the scale weight totally accurate?

When I weigh myself, It is anywhere between 125 and 130 lbs. I don't consider this to be my weight, since I take off 5 lbs for my 34DD chest, and I have a large frame-size 9 shoe at 5'2" is big boned. Does anyone else not consider the scale weight their weight?

Is It Normal?

  • Well the scale tells you your weight. That's its job. You can't deduct 5 pounds for your boobs bacause they are part of your body. That doesn't make sense. Size 9 shoes are pretty big for 5'2" I must say. But if you don't like the number that the scale gives you, then lose some weight

  • just read a fab book about how weight means nothing-cant remember the title :( but waist hip ratio and body fat mean a lot more than bmi.

  • but it is you're weight, you can't just take your boobs off xP I think you mean that what the number on the scale says has little to do with fatness.

  • I'm not sure I fully understand what u mean. Do u mean that the scale is wrong?the scale doesn't take into account things like ur shoe size. It just weighs ur whole body. The number it gives u is what u weigh as a whole, unless the scale is off.

  • I have a normal old fashioned one, and i adds/drops 3lbs depending on which way it faces-north is heavier than south which is lighter than east which is about the same as west.

  • It depends on the scale. If it is one of those electronic ones, then no. I weighed myself on my one at home and then weighed myself on a different one and it added about 3kg ( I think that is like 6lbs or something). If you use one of those normal, old fashioned sort of ones, it is usually more accurate I think. Also, try weighing yourself in the morning before you eat anything because this is when your body is at it's lightest :)
