Is it normal that i don't care what my boyfriend looks like?

So my boyfriend is far from cute according to my family and friends and they're always down on me. They judge him for how he looks and I don't even care about that. We have a deep love that blossomed from friendship and admittedly when we met I didn't think he was attractive. People are straight mean though. My coworkers met him at a Christmas party and said ugly things later like that I was using him because he's 5 years older, not a model and makes good money as an engineer. I loved him before the job and I don't care about the money. I would never choose another no matter how nasty and shallow people are towards us. Is that normal?

    So if he were to be broke with no job, you're saying you wouldn't mind? And you'd still love him? Get real.

    But if you truly love his ugly mug, who cares what others think? You're the one that has to wake up every morning staring at his face, not the people that are talking trash...

      He got the job while we were together. I loved him as a pizza delivery guy. Lol. Plus personality is really what matters. If he looked different, it wouldn't matter. I'd get tired of looking at him eventually and start seeing his personality

    Fuck them. I will admit to raising my eyebrows when I See someone really cute with an ugly boyfriend/girlfriend but that aint none of my business and I would never get involved in their personal issues.
