So you've made an appointment to lose your virginity? Is there an app for that?
If you're not enthusiastic about having sex, why have sex?
If all your friends really liked a particular band, but you thought they were pretty shit, would you pay $100 and drive three hours to go see them in concert?
It sounds to me like you pay far too much attention to the opinions of other people. It also sounds like the people you're listening to are pretty damn immature and stupid.
I lost my virginity more than forty years ago and I can tell you this: sex is a hell of a lot more fun if you and the person you're with really like each other and there's at least some sort of emotional connection.
I did once have sex in a situation that sounds a little like yours. After Navy Boot Camp, all my buddies were determined to go to a whorehouse. I wasn't really interested, but I went along just to go with the flow and because I was curious. I still clearly remember that encounter, but only because it was the most unexciting sex I've ever had. The only thing I learned is that sex can be pretty damn boring if it's mechanical and you're not into the woman you're with. Every single one of the women I've had relationships with over the years still features in my sexual fantasies from time to time, but I have never once thought of that prostitute when I masturbated.
You clearly don't respect the woman you're going to have sex with. That's scumbag behavior in my book. But even worse, it seems like you really don't respect yourself very much.
Is it normal that I don't care about having sex?
