Is it normal that i don’t know a lot of celebrities or keep up with them?

When people bring up certain celebrities and I respond “who?” It’s almost like they get pissed for not knowing them. I also don’t use Instagram, twitter, snapchat, or Facebook. I’d rather watch a documentary or read a book. I just don’t find joy in keeping up with people that could care less if I died. Do I live under a rock or are they the crazy ones?

I don't care about celebrities, especially the newer ones.

I know the old ones like Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Van Damme, Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, etc... the cool stars from older movies, but I don't know the new ones and don't really want to know them.

I like to think of the human brain like a hard drive. You keep information that is relevant to you. Any information you don't need is not saved. Or at least that's the idea.
I never wanted to know the lyrics of Niki Minaj's anaconda, but I know half of the lyrics after hearing that garbage just one time.

Completely normal. I'm the same. The only celebrities I know are the older ones. Samuel L Jackson, Brad Pitt, Leonardo, etc.

I'm the same, celebrities just don't interest me that much and I don't see them as any better or different than anyone else. I am familiar with certain names if people talk about them a lot, but I usually can't match them with a face and have no idea who they are or what they're famous for. When people talk about actors, I rarely know who most of them are, either.

It's definitely not abnormal. Some people like to follow all of that, and others like us just don't care.

As a side note, I also can't stand those celebrity gossip tabloid shows that come on in the evenings sometimes (I like to have the TV on for background noise sometimes). It gives me a cheap, gross feeling just listening to that crap.

Perfectly normal. They're just the same as everyone else.

It's normal, there would be people who'd just say a celebrity's name and I'd just nod even when I don't know who that person is.

I don't know anything about them except if the story makes it to national news. Like the whole R. Kelly thing.

Normal. I was like that too before it started to become important to my job to know things about celebrities. Given the choice, I would still be like that.
