Is it normal that i don’t get along with girls even though i’m a girl?

I don’t really connect with girls. Majority of them talk about topics that I honestly find disinteresting or find them fake. They whine, say meaningless praises, and talk about shit that doesn’t matter. Sometimes when I seem to get a girl connection, they start turning into typical “oh my gosh” and “yeah” girls. My major is around lots of guys, so maybe I became desensitized to girls. I’ve found some girls I can enjoy having convo with, but at the end of the day I like to talk to guys more. Is it normal?

    Is is normal? Yes. You sound like the "not like other girls" meme.

    No sex is completely negatively anything. People are so vast. I've been around guys who make horny comments 24/7 and talk about playing shitty video-games, but I've also been around annoying whiny girls. It's fine to have a preference. I mean, I also naturally have a few more guy friends (who - albeit - are more feminine), but it's kind of unwise to discount 51% of the population as "annoying", "uninteresting", or "fake".

    I honestly run as soon as I meet a girl who talks about not liking other girls because "ugh they like clothes and aren't as intellectual as me". It's a red flag, and that might be happening to you. Just stay open. Talk to people for people and not their genitals. If you're drawn to people who happen to be of the opposite sex, so be it. Do what makes you happy.

    That reminds me, I love my sister, but she actually watches those stupid Real Housewives shows on BRAVO, because she says, she thinks she can learn from it. I mean WTF! Lately she's been talking more about her horoscope and zodiac sign than a junior high school girl.

    My college major, and former career was a somewhat male dominated field that was all about being a bit of a smart ass, and so much of what some other chicks talk about can be excruciating for me. Enough of my crap, I think Lorna Mae is right on point. It can be hard to meet new people though.

    I could say you gotta get out there, but I have a nasty tendency to not get out there myself.

    Im a guy and i prefer having girl friends rather than guy friends and there is nothing wrong with that. So i can understand if girls like guy friends better. Do what you want with your life.
