Look up Oppositional Disorder. It's often described as a 'childhood disorder', but I think it can exist in children, young adults and adults. Interesting to read about if nothing else. There's a difference between OD and just not liking to be told what to do, though. My Mum often used to tell me I had it because I didn't always do what people told me to straight away and didn't really care if teachers told me off at school. I wasn't scared of authority either (that doesn't mean I didn't respect it). I don't think I had/have it, though. I think I'm just headstrong and don't see why I should take orders if there's no real pressing reason?! : / Also, I was criticised way too much as a child and that had an impact too.
Is it normal that I do this?
