It's normal to do crazy things when sleepwalking. That's because your brain doesn't function on the same level as if you were awake.
I've once heard a story about someone who went sleepdriving. He sleepwalked to his car and drove off, but of course his brain was not functioning enough to let him obey any traffic rules. He left a trail of damages behind and finally woke up in the wreck of his car crashed into a streetlight on the middle of a roundabout.
