This works the very best, so I don't see what harm he's doing. I think you expect him to spend that time with you but in reality you should be glad he has a hobby - otherwise he may start controlling your free time. This gets boring once you've been dating more than 3-4 years, (or worse still - married) which I assume you haven't been.
You're right to be afraid! I'm sure you'll get a good slap!
Why would you want to get married in the first place if you want it to be open? You're looking for trouble coz someone is going to come along and steal her from you!1
