Is it normal that i despise christmas music?

I'm a very big Halloween person, and I like to carry on with my Halloween stuff even through November. When I start hearing Christmas music everywhere it pisses me off! So damn annoying, it's like the same 10 songs over and over again. There's very few Christmas songs I enjoy, and they aren't really on the radio. I just feel like too much Christmas music ruins the good vibes for me. Maybe I'm just a grump haha. Also if anyone knows any good Christmas music that isn't so mainstream or Christmasy can you recommend me some? I'm just sick of hearing the same stuff everywhere I go.

Ah yes, the good old Ebenezer Scrooge saying " Every idiot who goes around with Merry Christmas on his lips should be boiled in his own pudding! " or " If they would rather die then they'd better do it and decrease the surplus population! "

So one can complain about Christmas being early, but another cant complain about halloween going late? Seems a bit off to me

Fuck christmas, but also fuck late halloween. Fuck all holidays that are not birthdays.

I actually like O Holy Night by John Berry. The country station at work plays it each year occasionally and kind of puts me in the mood for Christmas. But other than that, most of it is like nails on the chalkboard. Plus I'm generally a Scrooge so there's that.

I know a guy that wears a knitted "fuck your Christmas cheer" sweater when he shops around Christmas time.

I strongly dislike christmas music. Im like the goth chick in back next to her best friend decked out in rainbow. Take away christmas music, and things will start to feel weird to me.

Ok, heres some really good christmas music that isn't mainstream:

    Pig - Christmas is Home

    Vulfpeck - Chirstmas in LA

Ruichi Sakamoto - Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence (idk if this actually constitutes as a christmas song but eh)

    AC/DC - Mistress for Christmas

thats the extent I know, knock yourself out.

I posted a list of Christmas songs but they wouldn't show up on this question when I open it in an incognito tab, I wonder what's up. XD

I tried getting rid of the list format and tried making it into a paragraph, but that didn't work.

I'm going to try typing it in like I can't type because I'm guessing there's something I'm typing that's triggering my list to be auto bloccked: this christmas by set it off. I won't be home for Christmas by blink182. alone this holiday by the used. my December by linkin park. my Christmas list by simple plan. Xmas by corey taylor. don't shoot me santa by the killlers. I hate Christmas by zebra head. yule shooot your eye out by fall out boy. And x miss by new found glory.

These are songs I've never heard overplayed on the radio. Despite the lyrics, they get me hyped up and happy for Christmas.

I personally think Christmas music is overplayed and played in too many places especially in October and November. Also people with December birthdays don't like hearing it constantly.

I'd say it's normal! A lot of the same corporate friendly songs get looped this time of the year, it becomes grating fast. As for song suggestions, I'd recommend the album Snöängelns Rike by Yohio - there's a few odd ones out in there, like a cover of White Christmas and one he wrote, but most of it is chilled out Swedish Christmas music and traditional songs. It's a nice, calm change of pace!

Normal to hate Christmas music, I celebrate Christmas by playing some old school death metal stuff sometimes I invite my friends over and blast some metal.

I like tradtional Christmas carols sung by a proper church choir.

I don't listen to it all month though, I would just out it on for Christmas dinner and opening presents.

I quite like a lot of the cheesey Christmas classics but you can't listen to that shit for a whole month, it's too much. I would just put it on if I'm having people round or for Xmas eve dancing around with the kids

Michael Buble and Mariah Carey singing, "Last Christmas" or "Jingle bell rocks", can die in a Walmart bargain basement fire.

I do love full orchestras with choir peforming the classics. Baylor University does it right every year.

  • There's a limited window of opportunity for Christmas marketing, which is probably really profitable
