I did that a couple of weeks ago. I have never been the relationship kind and I knew my first time wasn't probably going to be during a relationship. I met this guy, we got to be friends and he wanted a relationship from the start. I told him clearly my situation and we continued to hang out and do stuff. We kind of acted like in a relationship, but only when we were together.
I did it with him because I felt prepared, I felt I have finally got to the point where I am sure I want to do this and he was experienced enough for me to know it won't be a disaster.
I suggest you think about it and imagine how will you feel afterwards, if you will ask yourself if it would have been better if you were in a relationship.
