Is it normal that i daydream and i am immersed in thought a lot

I am just a regular guy but since 2 years back, I am immersed in my thoughts a lot. I sometimes think something funny and smile to myself or something sad and start feeling sad. My mom thinks I am crazy. My friends try to act normal but I think that they think I am crazy too. I know in my mind that I am completely sane. I just take some time to become friendly with others. Because of this my other relatives also think that I am 'different'. I have no one to talk to about this. The thought that everyone thinks I am crazy sometimes makes me really depressed. I hope that you is it normal users will be able to understand me.

  • Bruh, I have the same problem I'm not gonna lie. Although mine is a bit different from yours. I do question if I have a problem or something but my friends and family don't know about my compulsive daydreaming. Let me know if you wanna talk.

  • Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I did and do this a lot A couple things I recommend you do, keep a thought notebook where you just write in a stream of consciousness (writing down exactly what you're thinking). This will allow you to focus the daydreams and control them. You may also come out with a few pieces that you may want to show your friends (Say this is what my daydreams were about it's really cool to see their reactions). Also, body scan meditation will allow you to increase speed of the process greatly (just sit or lay down and relax each muscle individually until your whole body is relaxed). One last thing to wrap this up, this is not normal as far as I know; it only occurs in a few people. Fortunately, I've found that this a beneficial abnormality. The people who I found did this are the dreamers, builders, and well... thinkers. This is good. Just make sure you do good with this gift.
