  • It's normal to feel that way sometimes. Try smiling at the mirror instead and look for positives as you see yourself. It's really hard to cry and smile at the same time. It can also help to take a trip to a museum. When you look at great art, you realize that to artists, all faces and looks are worthy of depicting as something permanent and beautiful. When you widen your own views of what "beautiful" is, you'll see more of it in yourself and in other people.

    You can't change how others see you, but you can work on how you view yourself.
