I was the same way when I learned about them, especially LSD. I'm a hands on kinda person, I guess!! Anyhow, what worked for me was volunteering at a drug rehab place and listening to people's stories. The good, the bad, and the ugly. It took out the mystery for me and brought the very real consequences and negative aspects to life.
