Is it normal that i chew the skin off of my fingers?

It's usually on my index and middle fingers, I've been chewing the skin off them since my Sophomore year of Highschool, which was 6 years ago. I can't stop and they're all "Callused" up.

I think it is a bad habit, (even though that I do so myself) but there's nothing unnatural about it.

Happens to me ALL THE TIME. Especially when I get out of the shower and my skin is really soft. It's fun to bite off callouses too.
