My reasoning onto why I do that is because the some of the people on social media who follow me are young so I do my best to censor out most inappropriate parts, another reason why I do it is because my parents will have a go at me so that is the reason why I censor them. I don't censor them because I want to.
You should be doing that anyway, you never know which future potential employers could find your social media accounts. If they’re full of foul language and X-rated content that could be the end of an opportunity for you.
You are what you publish... on the internet. Future employees, clients, friends, lovers will all look you up usually after you meet and before they decide to have much of any relationship with you. They may did back many years or decades.
What will they find... even from long ago.
It's probably for the best. You don't want to get caught with your pants down for silly nonsense.
