Is it normal that i care more for humanity than individual humans?

As I progress through college I am realizing that I care more about humanity as a whole than people in general... I see all the positive qualities of the human race yet when I look at a person I see all the negatives... I don't know if it's a side-effect of being an English literature major or if I just have some serious psychological issue.

Is It Normal?

  • I like to think of my race as a noble one, but it's kind of hard when you meet individuals in person. It's hard to hold something against our race as a whole, but very easy to critique when you can see all facets of a person. I like to think of the human race in general as having all of the qualities I value most, and used to sometimes get frustrated when individuals didn't appear to have them. Keep in mind that everyone, whether you like and respect them or not, plays a critical role in society.

  • i get what your saying i have had this feeling alot still do we are the true definition of strengh in numbers and the only reason why individuals dont look as important or as good as humanity as itself is because not alot of humans have to work as hard as the leaders think about it humanity is one big family we have the leaders who look after us like a normal family which someone is the leader and looks after the rest so they dont have to work as hard because the leader is the one who has to do the work most of the time if that makes sence

  • "I don't know if it's a side-effect of being an English literature major or if I just have some serious psychological issue." BOTH and they go hand-in-hand. You have no logic, reason, or rational thought. you're a moron, thanks to your bullshit education. That's what you get for picking a major because it's easy to bullshit through & still seem like you're smart because of your GPA. Have a nice life being a miserable, loon professor!
