Anyways, when you “turn your feelings off” what you’re actually doing is dissociating from them. The feelings still exist, you just aren’t consciously aware of them. This is actually kind of dangerous, since the more you do it the harder it is to ever associate with your emotions. Please seek psychiatric counseling as soon as possible. Dissociative tendencies are strongly linked with a variety of depression and anxiety disorders, which are totally treatable. Seriously, please seek help. Don’t wait until you do something stupid like I did.
