It's indeed sad, pets can become like family. And Sarah whatshername is really good at tugging at emotional heart strings. You should check out the song "Silence" by Delirium, she's the singer on it. Pretty good song. Sorry about Larry. Consider a more resilient rodent, like an armadillo, next time.
A better place? Hmmm... I don't want to be the downer in this thread, because I don't want to dishonor your grief, but if your little buddy was euthanised he might not be in a better place at all. That's all I'm going to say unless you really want me to tell you more. Of course you could also use Google to find out what I'm getting at.
Of course, if you gave him a viking burial or some such it's all good, and he's in a better place. Just imagine... Hamster Valhalla... wow.
My pet budgie parakeet died this year too :( He wasn't even old, but he had injured his right foot somehow and could hardly take care of himself TTOTT He will be forever in my heart...
And as if things couldn't get bad enough, on the day that he died, my MP player was on shuffle, and what song comes on? Only "Under Your Tree" by Sonata Arctica... Which by the way the singer wrote when his dog died. And then the tears came pouring out and I cried and cried...
