Phew - well you took a chance and saw another side to your friend, in the sense that they were both horrid travel mates and horrid to each other, and exposed & dragged you into to it all. Little wonder you feel burned.
You are just going to have to vent, leave it alone with her and give yourself time to simmer down. Do not escalate anything with her because you can't help seeing her.
Once this is behind you a bit, you will be able to be cordial, and, decide on the balance of things what relationship you want to have.
Thanks for putting how I feel in words...you are right. From the other behaviors of hers I was ignoring when we were close I realize it's not a good time for me to be friends with people like that.

Thanks for putting how I feel in words...you are right. From the other behaviors of hers I was ignoring when we were close I realize it's not a good time for me to be friends with people like that.
