I think "repulsive" is going a quite a bit too far :P
There's something about older women, even those who still look good, who have a lot of make-up on or surgery to "hide their age" that makes them actually look older than they are. Even though I don't see it as very important, as far as looks are concerned there's a lot to be said for aging gracefully.
EDIT: Older men who dye their hair and style it to "look younger" look weird too, although it's less noticeable. The obsession lots of celebrities have with looking young bothers me a little :P
Okay, that comment was a bit off-base. Obviously there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to look different or modifying your appearance, I should clarify that. I just think when people are specifically trying to look younger the illusion is rarely convincing. And it doesn't really "bother me", I just find the obsession with youth confusing (says the teenager who won't have to face "looking old" for 30 years :P).
