Pretty much everyone self medicates in some way, with alcohol, prescription drugs, anti depressants, anti anxieties, sleeping pills, good mood increasers, Tylenol etc. And as a firm believer that marijuana is meant to be used as medicine, I see nothing wrong with "needing" marijuana, in the same way other people "need" their [prescription] meds. But if you are more addicted to the high that comes with marijuana, and feel like you can't live without your next fix, then that can start being some unhealthy addictive behavior, and you need to rethink why and how much you use it, and not let yourself do it just for the sake of being high multiple times a day.
Is it normal that I can't live without marijuana?
