I do similar with my TV but for a different reason probably. My volume is always either 10, 12, 15 or 17.
17 for when something noisy is happening outside. 15 for normal daytime viewing. 12 after about 10pm (and the neighbours are trying to sleep) and 10 when I'm watching at 3am and it's so quiet outside that I still hear the TV. I've kind of worked out over time that these are the right volumes for the situation, so I've just stuck with that.
Is it normal that I can't have the television on an odd number ?

Well, thank you for considering my application anyway!
