Seriously, I feel for you though. As a guy who had already raised a couple of kids, I wasn't interested in another family once I was single again. It really didn't matter how cool the gal was, it was just more than I was willing to take on.
However, there must be guys out there who want a family or are in the same position you are in; single parents. Perhaps you need to meet new people outside the norm for you.
Think of activities you enjoy or are interested in learning, especially ones your boy can join in.
Mountain biking, horse riding, canoeing, sailing, bird watching, whatever the two of you could enjoy together. Then go find a club where others who enjoy those activities get together, perhaps with their kids, too.
Bars and clubs are a waste of your time if you are looking for a serious relationship, IMO.
