If I would eat in another room if I could. It's a food place. I arrive at 9 and don't get a break until about 3. So we all have to eat lunch on shift.
I try to take my food and move away from him but he ALWAYS comes over and stands right next to me and spit talks. He also smells sometimes.
He says things like "ewww (spit-spit), ham thandwich! That's nasty (spitttt!)."
Then you have to engage in conversation because he doesn't take the hint when you turn away and blank him.
Is it normal that I can't eat in the presence of my autistic coworker

Well that's...unfortunate. Can't you find a private place...I used to eat in my car when I couldn't stand the people in the break room anymore.
