I feel like this sometimes. I have lots of homosexual friends, and I would defend them all to death. I despise intolerance and I cringe at people making homophobic comments.
However...
Somehow, deep inside, I feel like it kind of sucks for my friends to be gay. I feel like it would be easier for them to be heterosexual, and I know they can't do anything about it, which I just find sad. If my kid was born homosexual, I would accept him 100%... but I would not desire for that.
So, I guess that even though I am not homophobic, it is just ingrained into myself from my culture values. That's all that I can say.
It would be as easy for them being gay if society stopped being so homophobic. In my country most wouldn't bother that much about two girls going out but two guys are still too controversial for some.
