They're called intrusive thoughts. Everyone gets them at some point, but they're more frequent, intense and upsetting to people who are prone to anxiety and/or OCD. Even though I am on some seriously heavy meds, I still have to deal with intrusive thoughts at times. The best way to deal with them is to realize that they're just thoughts and as long as you don't act on them, you won't get in trouble or be judged. (There's no such thing as the Thought Police, after all!)
