Is it normal that i can't control my thoughts?

Here's a few common situations for me:

I go to the toilet and take a dump and out of nowhere I see an image in my head about taking my shit and putting it in my mouth.
Whenever someone comes to borrow something from me I think about saying "Sure, but only if you suck my dick".
Whenever I see some girl on the street I think about tackling her and when she's down on the ground I fuck her in public.

I don't act upon any of these thoughts, but they just seem to spring up randomly in the weirdest times and it's hard to shake them away. Any advice on how to better block out the nasty information?

I'd suggest taking green_boogers' advice, or going to see a doctor about it, if you can.

In terms of a temporary, practical solution, doing the following may help:

    - Inhale slowly through your nose for five seconds, then hold your breath for ~10 seconds
    - While you're holding your breath, think "NO" very clearly (if you can) or say it aloud, if need be
    - Now, exhale through your mouth for seven seconds

It's similar to the method that works to calm the initial stages of a panic attack (I think?) and it works for me, so it may work for you. If not, no harm done.

    • Sorry, but the more I try to forget the harder it is to shake it off. And I don't need the exercise, because the thought dies when I move on to something else.

They're called intrusive thoughts. Everyone gets them at some point, but they're more frequent, intense and upsetting to people who are prone to anxiety and/or OCD. Even though I am on some seriously heavy meds, I still have to deal with intrusive thoughts at times. The best way to deal with them is to realize that they're just thoughts and as long as you don't act on them, you won't get in trouble or be judged. (There's no such thing as the Thought Police, after all!)

Here's some tips (100% guaranteed to work)

*Actually place the poop, from your next dump, in your mouth. But only if it's huge and swallow a little, too.

*The next time you want to respond to someone with, "But only if you suck my dick", actually say it. Deal with the repercussions; slapped, accused of harassment (even better for you)

*The next time you see someone you wish to publicly assault, DO IT! Deal with cops/jail, hell, even better.. Prison (where men do not control their thoughts) but can act on every single thought they wish..
    On you.

    • I said, I don't act on my thoughts because I realize how disgusting, stupid and immoral they are. So, obviously, you mean that just because I think about something like that I deserve what I imagine actually happening to me? Are you "pure of thought"? certainly not, because you just suggested to another human person that they deserve torture just for thinking something they REALIZE is crazy in the first place.
