Whenever i'm with my girlfriend or any girl in general, I get a scent off them. It's not always on them, but only on particular times such as when they're turned on. Like, when we're about to kiss or make out I begin to smell a thick, musty smell from there breath. It's very distinctive and undescribable, not at all comparable to anything else. But, when I smell it my libido quickly skyrockets.

Unfortunately while I don't have much of a libido, I can detect certain natural scents off women, not enough to detect "cycles" but I understand where the writer is coming from.

This sounds like you're just smelling their breath and getting turned on... but it could be something to do with pheromones. Sometimes I get a 'feeling' around certain women at times that leads me to believe...somethings up, but not an actual smell.
That sounds hot. I hope I get that experience someday. And no, you must have an abnormally strong sense if smell.
I can smell that too however I do not like the smell .it grosses me out.I even hold my breath when people walk by so not to smell the odors.its not a trash smell just musty ....like summer streets after a hot summer rain.
I dont know about their breath, but when my girlfriend is ready to go, I detect a distinct but (scentless?) difference , and it really gets me going.
