Is it normal that i can flirt with girls on chat but can't in person?

i've always been shy around girls, my mind would go blank whenever am with a girl. My looks are nt 2 blame coz most girls tell me that am handsome n stuff like that. I jus could't respond. But i cn flirt with girls on fb and other sites, i cn even talk dirty to them.
There was this girl in my class that i really liked. . So i added her on fb and we started chatting..we soon got comfortable with each other and started to talk ALOT. But when we meet in class i jus couldn't say a word other than 'hey'.. N i blush alot. What should i do?

    this happen a lot to men who are staying at home and only talk on laptop.
    when ya talk in person it feel a little wrong in start but later u will say man that was alright.
    no worries
    shit happens

    You need to lay off the social networks and approach women at random in the grocery store per say and collect a phone number thereby reversing the disease social networks have psychologically imposed on our fellow man. Remember, there's a difference... Don't become a Thumbsturbator.

    The internet gives you a sense of anonymity, when you see her in person everything gets into perspective and you become conscious of both of you too much to be comfortable. Even I get nervous speaking to someone who I mostly texted but I'm not that shy either way.

        Then you need to get off the internet and take some risks talking to real people: it'll get easier with practice, I promise.

        I've managed to encourage some blokes who used to call me regularly on adult sex lines to approach women they like rather than focussing on quick phone sex with a stranger and the internet is similar: quick, easy, no commitment but real life isn't like that - get out there into real life, it's worth it
