If you can "inhale" air into it then you should be able to breathe out of it and that may come in handy one day.
There's a performer called Mr. Methane who as far as I can remember, has gas on will. I don't think it's normal the type of fanaticism your friends have for your well controlled muscles (fake flatulence).
