Is it normal that I bite the hard skin off the tips of ny fingers?

don't worry, i do the same thing... i don't know why or how it started...its kinda embarrassing going for manicures, but im actually starting to stop....instead of biting my nail/finger, i either put on hand sanitizer cuz it makes ur finger taste gross, or i bite my lip...but not like legit bite...just like the thing that most people do in a tough situation
