Is it normal that i bite my lip and pick the skin until it bleeds?

I do it everyday because it calms me down but my lips always hurt so much because they bleed every day. My lip is always covered in crusts as well but I have the urge to pick all of them until my skin's surface is all smooth again. Do you think it's normal?

    I do this all the time, so does my little brother whos only 8, I think it's perfectly normal :)

    I've been doing this everyday for years because I like my lips to be smooth. This results in them always being a little swollen all the time. It's also usually a little sore, but I've come to enjoy that slight pain. Could never get rid of the habit.

    I used to do this. Then I started wearing lipstick. I didn't want to ruin the lipstick, so I didn't bite my lip. Eventually, I got out of the habit of biting my lip even though I don't wear lipstick anymore. Try putting something on your lips to break the habit.

      I tried putting on lip balm but it didn't work. It made my skin feel even more uneven so I was picking more and more skin until I eventually stopped using lip balm
