That's alright. To answer your question, more people should be single because of the risks and problems involved with romance. Relationships are very prone to failing and it would be beneficial to those to not go into it, just so they won't have to put up with any of it. Romance is one of those "Better Safe than Sorry" scenarios: being single would count as being safe and getting in a relationship would count as potentially being sorry and regretting the whole thing.
Why romance, though?:S There are lots of things which involve the risk of getting hurt, do you suggest that we refrain from doing those too just to be "safe"? I agree that caution is a good thing, but still, that sounds a bit miserable. So, what are you even suggesting, that people stay single for their entire lives? When should they stay single? For how long? When would they be allowed to do what they want and get into a relationship?:P
If more people decided to be single from the age they're old enough for romance to a permanent amount of time it would certainly be a plus since other positive things that people could obtain by being single is having no restrictions and having everything in their homes to themselves. I just think that they should reconsider romance but they can get into a relationship if they want. I just believe that there are better things to do with one's life than romance.
Yes and the only way we survive is sex. We must do this to procreate. If we do not procreate eventually we will all die out. Leaving our race to no longer exists.
You say that romance is dumb and creates a lot of damage. However if no one is getting together no one is having kids. At the moment most of the world is overpopulated yes. If everyone decided to stop at once that means no more children EVER. So who do you think is going to or suppose to take care of these children? Did you ever think of a solution for this. This was not thought out very well. Which scenario say will send the world into a state of panic.
People don't neccessarily need to get together in a relationship to have offspring. There's sperm donation, IVF, surrogacy, prostitution, and artificial insemination. So no, the human race would not die off if people decided to not get in relationships. Romance is not a neccessity. As long as single folk have kids via the ways i listed there'd be no need for romance or marriage.
Is it normal that I believe that people are better off single?

With little risk comes little reward.
