I don't really understand how you can hate religion, never even read the Bible and don't trust it, but still believe in God.
You can hate the what people have done in the past in the name of their "religion", you can hate the leaders of a religion, but you can't believe in the Christian God without believing in Christianity.
Do other people really think that? I think that's weird.
The OP didn't say they believed in the Christian god, only that they believe there is a god watching over them. I can understand rejecting the mythology of various organised religions but still having a sensation that there is something greater out there. It's a fairly simple idea to grasp.
Well, I don't get it. I don't get how one can dismiss all organized religion, and still believe in a higher power.I don't understand how someone can dismiss organized religions like Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and still believe in some sort of higher being. I don't believe that someone can hate religion, and still love God, or believe that some sort of higher power exists.
Yeah it's messed up. The only reason anyone believes in god is because christians raped the world about 500 years ago. If the bible and the church didn't exist, no one would believe in god.
Is it normal that I believe in God but hate organised religion?
