Is it normal that i behave better around friends, rather then family?

Whenever I'm around my friends, I'm always conscious of everything I do. The way I approach someone, how I talk to them, the way I present myself, etc. When I'm around family though, I let loose alot more and I'm not entirely focused on my actions. I'm more messy, unorganized, easy-going, and less concerned about how they view me. I'm not onpurposely being disrespectful to my family, I just let loose more just because I've known my family my whole life and I know how understanding they are. Anyone else like this with their friends/family?

    oh yea i can be a giant ass sometimes to my family but overtime i realize oh wow ive been really rude and should be nicer because they are my family and they have feelings too and i should treat them respectively. it happens. just go with the flow but try cleaning up your act a bit for your family so they dont begin to dislike the way you act
