I couldn't think of a more terrible thing than immortality. A few more years, say a lifetime of 125 to 150 years might be OK, IF and it's a huge IF, one was physically able to actually live those extra years doing things and not being a fucking vegetable.
But if one had an eternal life expectancy, just how many years would it be before you'd done everything you ever wanted to do and had nothing left to live for?
You may be afraid to die, before you even know what living really is, but to live forever would be a hell few would appreciate.
