Unless we figure out how to prevent the shortening of telomeres, we will never be truly immortal. I do, however, think that our lifespans will be greatly increased. This is assuming that humans won't self destruct and destroy the planet in the next 150 years. I'm pretty sure we will get knocked down to a medieval age level.
That's what I meant, humans killing each other and much of the other life on the planet. I didn't mean actually destroy the literal planet. Although the U.S. alone has enough nuclear weapons to kill everything on the planet.

temporary change that the planetll shake off or adapt to and mebbe peoples destroyin theyselves is a far cry more realistic
