I feel like humanity would end before something like that happens. Even if it didn't, our bodies would be replaced with sophisticated machines - we would be cyborgs.
And if such a large part of us was machinery, we would lose all freedom. The government would be able to track our exact position at any given time, doubtlessly have the ability to switch off our bodies, kill us. That's some of the reasons why I oppose things like inserting microchips into children's bodies, but some fucktards actually support that.
Whilst extension of lifespan is possible, I just don't think something like immortality is, no matter what level of scientific prowess. Too many complications, boundaries - the only way something like that could be achieved is by some supernatural cause.
Anyhow, I think a Star Wars like future is extremely shitty. I'm glad that I won't live to see it.
IIN that I anticipate that humanity is on the brink of immortality?
