I dated my ex boyfriend for 8 years and then broke up and we are still great friends just wanted to know if other people felt the same

    My wife is still friends with her ex, my sister is friends with at least three of hers, my mom is still friends with her ex and she's 70 years old. The President of the United States is still friends with his ex, too. I think it's safe to say that this is normal or close enough.

    It probably depends on the person. I'm not friends with any of my exes.
