    I lived close to the train tracks about a year back as well. After about two weeks I found that I wouldn't even notice when a train was going by anymore!

    Although the whole "your dad being obsessed with them" thing would most likely grind my gears as well.

        My dad has the same thing with tractors, and I grew up on a farm at the beginning of a farm access gravel.
