Is it normal that I am so shy about talking to girls

I think it's really sweet when guys are shy, but you have to remember the worst they say is no or words to that effect, and you just think 'well you clearly aren't worth my time' and move on to the next one.... You just have to put yourself out there, I know that's easier said then done, but once you've done it once it becomes a lot easier :)
