Is it normal that i am so childish

I just turned 29 and my boyfriend and I moved into a new apartment, I just did my whole bathroom in the Winnie the Pooh decal and wallpaper border. I don't have kids that was MY idea of what would look good. I like to play video games and watch cartoons. I wear t-shits and jeans or shorts all the time unless I am at work and even my work clothes look a bit young, a lot shirts with short puffed sleeves. I don't own a pair heels all my shoes are flat mary jane style shoes. I don't mean to make sound like I am vapid or anything I somewhat keep up with current events and I enjoy reading and audio books and documentaries. I guess I just sort of wonder what would make a person behave this way, I did jump into the adult world pretty quickly, I lost my virginity at 14 and had moved out on my own by 19. I grew up in alcoholic family and in many cases I was called upon to care for myself and make rational adult decisions that were far beyond my years, I guess I think that my adult behavior and preferences are sort of a back lash from this. Any way,is it normal?

  • Initially I was going to say this might indicate some childhood issues, and reading until the end of your post this becomes more clear.

  • It's somewhat normal but perhaps you are reliving the childhood you didn't get to revel in growing up. Some adults prefer cute over contemporary, or modern. I chose Lavender and pastels with stuffed animals I'd brought from home in my first place. Then I went through this Asian royalty phase and everything was ruby gold or rich jades now its rustic leathers, dark woods and brass.you may change, but if not you are fine. I never grew out of watching cartoons or video games and neither did my dad who still watches to this day...

  • You rate high on the kids scale. Keep working to rate high on the adult scale as well. They are not mutually exclusive.

  • Wtf does losing her virginity have to do with the initial question? Perv-alert but anyway, I think it's normal you still got a kid in you that wants to play and dress juvenile. As long as you can be the adult when needed. For the most part your kid will love you. Not to mention you might stay like this for a majority of you life. Mighty just be a toy r us kid

  • Losing your virginity at 14? That's not grown up, that's risky and irresponsible, all that does is make you look childish. No offense, but it docent make much sense

  • There is nothing wrong with losing it at 14!!! Anyway I'm dying to have a child cause I want to go to chuckie cheese and go trick or treating and watch cute shows like Winnie the pooh and stuff. I'm serious... I think u r normal.

  • @Obliwion

and would you care to enlighten me on just what exactly is normal behavior? It seems like an extraordinarily subjective term to me, but if you know what behaviors constitute normal I would just LOVE for you to share that with me. And for that matter what is it that I have said that typifies diva-live behavior anyway? You know, since you know so much.

  • Johny Bravo, ever amusing. Why is it that when a boy looses his virginity he's big stud but girl is a whore? Nasty double standard I think. either way your command of the English language is virtually nonexistent and you are a complete fucking moron so please go back to attempting to receive a blow job from your mom's hoover and let the grow folks talk eh

  • ive known people that are exactly like this, another reason it may be is because you missed out on a normal childhood so you like doing it now.. but im not sure..
