I used to drink a bottle of vodka every day but also kept active and was doing pretty well and my job, band, etc...but alcohol does horrible things to your body and you'll shave years off your lifespan if you keep up the hard liquor every day. I only drank heavily for a few years but had gotten to a stage where my doctor said I couldn't take a day off drinking without being in danger of dropping dead suddenly due to withdrawal. Not being able to skip a day of drinking without dying? That's not normal...I recently tapered off drinking and am trying to manage a few days a week off the vodka, and trying to eventually stick to getting drunk in social situations. Best of luck to you if do you try to change your lifestyle :)
I'll be 38 very soon and am just beginning to notice the tell-tale signs of age -- most recently, my eyesight.
I have never worn glasses, but recently I noticed I was whiffing more tennis balls lately when the ball machine was at max speed. They'd whiz right by my head or past my racket sometimes.
So, my doctor sent me to an optomitrist and sure enough -- I needed my vision corrected. It wasn't bad, but it was bad enough that I was prescribed glasses. I also had them make me a couple of pairs of sports goggles for the club so I don't look like bagel boy out on the court, heh heh heh.
I did ask the doctor point blank if my vision issue was caused by my lifestyle. He said maybe, maybe not; but probably.
The upshot is, I simply don't care. I feel bad that I don't care, I know I should care, but the bottom line is, I can't force myself to, well..., care.
Is it normal that I am piss-drunk every single day?
