How do you know he doesn't like giving it? I can't see where or when he mentioned it...
Of course, if partners are able to compromise even if they don't like the same, it's great :) However, if it was that easy, many relationships would be better. If one of the partners just isn't into a sexual activity, they may do something about it. However, the problem is when one of them doesn't like it to the point of having an aversion to it :( Hopefully, this won't be the OP's case.
Moreover, there are quite many women who expect their boyfriend/husband to take care of everything when it comes to sex. If such women only get off by receiving oral, it means that their partners are expected to give them oral and then take care of their own orgasm... In such case the guy gives head to his girlfriend/wife and then he is left to do something to make himself orgasm as well. Not very good approach to sex :(

And I agree, I can only orgasm through oral (or if we bring heavy-duty vibrators into sex) But I try to remember to help my fiance along too :) usually giving him some head and then being active (a.k.a not starfish-ing) during sex usually keeps him happy :) Not being willing to compromise and lack of communication is pretty much kills relationships lol
