I always see people on the internet who post some things that read along the lines of "This is what makes America look bad".
Well personally I am not from America. So if I were to hypothetically post something on the internet that an American did not like, or agree with, and they wrote "STOP! This makes America look bad", well how would something I say make America look bad, if I am not from America?

For example, let's say I said "It's okay to litter" (which I am against anyway). Then someone posts a comment saying I made America look bad with what I said. How does this make America or Americans look bad?

Is it normal that I think people should stop assuming everyone on the internet is American?

    I think everyone does that to an extent, such as ignorantly assuming everyone's laws are the same as their country's or region's laws.

        Actually, he was credited with inventing the World Wide Web, which is not the same as the Internet.

          Americans funded Einstein (a German), but that doesn't mean American came up with the Theory Of Relativity...

          P.S. Most of the technology used was European.

            Albert Einstein had an American citizenship and lived in America. So he was an American.

              Einstein was born in Germany, lived there MOST of his life, spoke German...and refered to himself as "German". So yeah...

              and no, the majority of people involved in developing the idea for the internet and actully creating her were Europeans. Try research.

            But as in the case of the internet you will find that the invention cannot be pinned down on one person the majority of the people who developed it were american

    people are people. some are good some are bad. in every race, religion, gender, and nationality. that's a fact of life everyone needs to get used to.

    SOME americans are cocky bastards and it's also a steriotype that America ignores everyone else and is partialy true. Some are good and not ignorant but you never notice those ones it's the assholes that you notice. So yhea
