Is it normal that i am not afraid of dying?

It’s a question many people can differ from.. I personally am not afraid of dying. Working in the healthcare field, I see many people who fear passing away. For some reason, I am okay with it. I just figure that is what God wants. I fear other people dying, especially those who are close to me, but if I was told I only had a few days to live, it would come as a shock but I think I would learn to accept it and not be fearful. How do you all feel about death in general? I think I’ve also come to accept it with no fear because of my beliefs in knowing that though we may die one day on earth, our spirit lives forever. I am a big believer in the afterlife

I believe death is the same as before I was born, so it doesn't scare me much at all. I won't know about it.

I want to live at least as long as my cat, and I also want my parents to outlive me.

Thank you! I don't have an enormous fear of death, because I believe in a Higher Power. I do, however, sometimes wrestle with the meaning of life, and whether, or not life means anything to me. Family, and companion animals, especially cats, tend to give reason, and purpose to life. I am relatively sure that if I take care of myself I will live into my nineties. It's not so much a choice, or desire, but the realization that I will probably take after my ancestors despite my lack of desire to assume full responsibility for myself... but it could be worse, it could always be worse.

I hope that I can live in gratitude for the life blessings that I have, it you get my drift. My life isn't as as easy as I would prefer, but it's much easier than the lives of those who suffer greatly.

Death is inevitable, so why fear it?
    Be logical.
I do regret the things I may not live to see.
But I don't envy the pain coming generations may face.
    I'm ready to be done.

  • It's natural to be afraid of dying. Unless maybe you are a blade of grass.

Not everyone is afraid of dying. Come to where I work and you’ll see it for yourself. Terminally ill people who accept death with open arms

      • Probably less acceptance and more the morphine talking.

  • Death is merely a term, I need not worry day and night over a word.

  • I plan on being cryogenically frozen so that in one thousand years time I can be awakened and rule over the future world.
