    I'm no pussy whisperer (having a damn dry spell at the moment) but I would assume the change in environment maybe of affected your cat's behaviour.

    May I ask but did your Mother interacted with the cat a lot? Maybe your Dad isn't as interactive with her as much your Mother. She is craving the missing attention she got from someone else.

      I think my dad interacts with her more, there were dogs at my mom's house and maybe she needs a companion but my dad will never go for another pet.
