Is it normal that i am attracted to my best friend?

ok I am a girl and I met thi guy at my friends house a couple years ago. we quickly bonded and became really good friends, we even started dating. we had a great relationship (no sex involved, we both agreed to take it slow) but then he randomly dumped me. now it's been another like 5 months and I'm still attracted to him. everything about him! his personality, looks, humor, everything! but were still great friends even after the breakup. I want to make my move toward him, but I'm a afraid. sometimes when were hanging out he will show emotions toward me that resemble loving or strong emotions for me, so I do the same. and it works. he seems as if he likes me, but doesn't want to say it. so I'm confused. and then when we talk the next day or
something, it's back to just friends. it annoys me sometimes and I think I really love him. I have his last name added to the end of my name which is kinda freaking me out. any help?

    just talk to him about it. only you can't come on too strong and freak him out. just try to get out how he feels about your before you tell him how you feel.

      thx for the advice u guys! it really helped! i am good enough friends to talk to him about so one day wen i went over to his house to hang out, i talked to him about it.
      Me: um, daniel? (his name)
      Him: yea?
      Me: remember wen, we used to go out?
      Him: yes
      Me: well remember how u broke up with me?
      Him: yes
      Me: why did u break up with me?
      Him: becuz i new if we ever got in a fight, and began hating eachother, we would never be able to be friends after that. i would rather have u be my best friend then have us break up and see eachother again.

      Him: um yea but why do u wanna no?
      Me: well ya see.... i never really got over u

      so yea things are all good now. it felt good to release my feelings to him and i understand now. thx!

        THATS WEIRD!! I know someone thats name is Dan and a girl named Saige and they are both good friends!!! they went out too!! but now broke up! weird.....

    Im attracted to my best friend too. but he is your ex. He probably just thought of you as a friend if he broke up with you. If you are close enough of friends you can talk about it without making it a huge deal. I hope things work out with you two... :]
