Very true. Studies are always conducted on child-molesters who got caught, since no one would be stupid enough to put them self forward as a pedophile. This can lead to extremely biased results. Most people think that pedophilia goes hand in hand with aviator glasses, mustachios and greasy hair.

No.
Is it normal for a pedophile to feel like you do (i.e. not want to hurt anybody)?
I suspect that it is, but it's hard to say since people in your position have such a big disincentive to talk about it publicly.
